Harris hawk, very easy to train to the fist and they get imprinted on their owners easily, cast it off and they actually follow you as you're walking, flying from tree to tree to keep up with you. Beautiful birds, the only BOP that hunts as a family.

I once watch one of these wildlife programs about Eagles and huntsmen on horses somewhere in Asia.
The men took the eagle from the nest as a chick and brought it up and trained it to catch their food.

That will have been in Mongolia or Khazakstan mate. I used to be into falconry as a kid. Influenced by the movie Kes, I had all sorts.
