As the saying goes "two for the price of one".
First one, A merry Christmas to you all, and I do hope you all get what you are wanting or would like.
Second one, we are off on holiday, the Lake District for 1 week staying near Ullswater, then off to Edinburgh then onward to north Yorkshire for Christmas day dinner, then its to ??????, not planned that far yet.
So once again Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to one and all.

Merry Christmas....enjoy your travels.
I'm staying at home this year. Only have a couple days off from work. So didn't fancy visiting family in London.
Besides, the Sister in law is flying in to Birmingham airport from Finland tonight. So she's here until the new year. That will keep the wife happy!

Been there and now its back and planning the new few holidays.
Here are a few pictures, and yes the last one was on our way through Newcastle. We also managed to see Hadrian's Wall. Well, parts of it, and managed to walk along a stretch.

Is that you paddle-boarding? Nice pose in front of the Angel of the North. You should have popped down to Sunderland to see Penshaw monument, a replica of the Temple of Theseus on top of Penshaw Hill

It would have been great to be those boards, the water was so still, we had just pulled the car over to get some pictures and these two came out of the mist.
We ran out of time to go over to he Temple of Theseus as dinner was on the boil, but we have seen it many times driving down the A19. Maybe next time.

I used to poach rabbits around the Temple of Theseus as a kid. You used to be able to go to the top till someone died falling off, so you have to view it from ground level nowadays
