The year has only just started and the bills have started to get bigger.
An email arrives saying your gas and electric is going up by £ per month. It will soon be the insurance companies saying theirs are going up too, car tax soon, MOT even sooner.
Looks like it's going to be a few hours spent on the internet looking for a better deal these coming nights.
May even have to get Emma to do some extra hours.

Times are hard out there mate. :NoNo: Just saw a report that homeless numbers are on the increase so I just count my blessings and crack on with life. New year, new opportunities. Are you leaving the UK this year for pastures new?

I've just saved 12 quid a month by cancelling my TV licence.
So much rubbish and repeats on now... it can be a monitor for my Xbox.
They even sent me a 24 quid refund. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

It's going to be a tough year for me. Looks like I will be dipping into my savings. Now that Harlene is on Maternity leave, her job won't pay her maternity pay as she isn't on contract as such, just bank hours.
She's applied via the government. But I know that will result in a 'no' as she's here on a FLR visa.
So what with me having taken a 25% paycut p/m when I moved 15 months ago and with Harlene's wages helping subsidise the shortfall..... it's now belt-tightening time until she goes back to work, whenever that may be.

I actually like the sound of that, I only ever watch Netflix normally anyway. I wonder if I need a licence to watch Netflix? :Erm:

I don't think so.
Check the TV Licensing website. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

We are leaving yes, but when and where we are not sure yet.
A big holiday for a month of so to the States to see what Emma would like to see, then it could be France or Spain for a few months or more.
As they say, "the world is our Oyster", sometime this year.

Only bills in January for me are my accountants and to renew my passport which isn't really a bill. Don't do Xmas and don't do credit cards anymore so won't be dreading the end of the month. :xxgrinning--00xx3:
