February 2nd, 2018 will mark the bi~centenial of the Spanish royal decree separating this province from its northern neighbour.

Ilocos Norte was, of course, the birthplace of Ferdinand Marcos (Snr) ... until 2016 :wink:, Philippines' most memorable citizen! :xxgrinning--00xx3:
