Reputedly :cwm25: this year's event took place in higher temperatures than ever before :cwm24: ... yet, by contrast, the weather has been :freezin: up here in Central Scotland.

I ran it in 2011, was a blooming hot day then. My prayers were answered a mile before the end when we had alight shower that cooled me down.

To this day that remains the only marathon I have ran. My running days used to consist of 5 and 10k races.

I was never fast, but enjoyed them, the marathon is a completely different ball game!
