Like most people on the forum I would have liked to see England win the third place play-off, but it was not to be. However, there is still a little room for cheerfulness. In Italy in 1990 England came fourth, and the tournament's top goal scorer was Italian Salvatore Schillaci. In Russia in 2018 England came fourth, and the top goal scorer was Englishman Harry Kane. Therefore by a small margin that was the best ever performance abroad :Hellooo:, and hopefully there will be more to come.
