As most of you will know me and Vimvie got our visa, she has done her seminar thingy she'll be flying to the U.K. next month, and we'll be marrying soon, I've deliberatly left this question until after the xmas celebrations...what happens to Vimvie if I die?

She would have to return to phill, unless the ukvisa people allowed her to stay.

I've got Vimvie down as the beneficiary on a life insurance thingy (it's actually connected to my pension) If I die they have assured me they will contact her and make payment to her no matter what country she may be in..but I'm saddened to hear she will have to back..:NoNo:

well once her current visa was up. If she had ilr or citzenship she would not need to from what i know.
Always check on insurances and what not that they can be paid to non british residents (im sure they can but best to check)
Many insurance policys in the uk state the holder has to be a british resident for a standard policy. But not sure where they stand on those they pay out to.

Another important point while we are on this subject.
Make sure your will is sorted out particularly if on a finacee visa due to the issues that could arise.
Both of you need wills a thing that many phills as well as many brits may not have thought about them, this also goes for OFW familes as well. While living in a forigen country how any propety or earnings are dealt with i presume will come under british law.
If you don't it could mean your Finacee may not recieve what you want to leave to her.
