You can see it in the winter as far south as the Midlands.....though you'd need to be in the country away from light pollution and keep an eye on solar flare reports, as it is those that cause it.

Make the effort... it's well worth the trip and the pictures don't do it justice. There used to be a ferry company that done cheap short breaks to Norway from Newcastle... don't know whether they're still there. :)

You can see it from the Cathay Pacific flight from Hong Kong. I woke up on a flight somewhere over Siberia, everyone else was asleep and the cabin lights were dim. When my eyes focused on the view out the window in the dark I realised what it was.

get a virtual pug to clean the inside of your screen :xxgrinning--00xx3:

your right not sure what it is, its licking :Erm: :yikes:, switch it to full screen, so it cleans all the filth off your screen
