House prices in the Philippines!

I was wondering what experience people have had of house prices in the Philippines as they seem to be very different depending where you build or buy which i guess is the same in most countries. What costs have you come across for;

1/ Building a house from scratch

2/ Buying a house plus extras

I have saw houses in Cebu going for 12m pesos

I know a Missionary in Ozamiz that i think paid around 1.2m pesos which is a good size.

I am hoping to get one built from scratch including land for about 1.5 and maybe would stretch to 2m

its a bit hard to get a house unless you have an aswa which i think you have?

My GF has found local places (not to western standards) for 300,000. I saw one place at 5m and i did not like it at all...

P12,000,000 sounds good to me John, can i have one please mate, hahahaha, I have spent around 3 Million in total including the 2 lots, house, extra's and embellishments i.e. beautifying the house, it seems to be different wherever you go.
