nope you dont need a lawyer to counter sign it.

Be careful the Fiancee has not been told by a friend of a friend sometimes rules and procedures from different countries get quoted.

only time i've used a solicitor was to certify copies of passport, deeds to house. why would you want or need one to counter sign your letter of support, they don't know what is in your letter is true or not, only use them to certify copies of orginals. don't give them more money than you need to, they rob you enough as it is :cwm24:

Hi Philip, like what most of our friends have said here no need for u to counter sign ur letter with a solicitor..ur signature is more than ok as long as u stated everything in ur letter in all honesty and the ECO can surely scrutinized it on their own for authenticity..:)..

Goodluck on ur fiancee's application..cheers..:)
