must pass the life in the uk test first.
marriage certificate
valid passports
payslips
utility bills
bank statements
mortgage or tenancy agreement
medical card
Any subscriptions that showed your name and address
Any evidence that shows you and your husbands name and address
Correct visa fee £750 by post or £950 for premium.
Etc.
Read the ILR notes for your guidance.
What visa you currently holding? Spouse visa or FLR M (extension visa from fiancee visa).

Download the ILR form and notes from the Home Office website. Read the notes, it will tell you what requirements you must submit with the application.

With the ILR you need bills though out your time in uk. Both in your name , your hubbys name and ideally in both your names. Spread out all though the two years, don't thorow out anything.
Mr blogss and myself wrote quite a bit on the subject when our Wifes were applying.
Good idea to file all your paperwork as you go.
File by month
with
Hubbys official paperwork
Your good self official paperwork
Joint official paperwork
Keep it safe

tnx andypaul.
No probs a few more things i have picked up.
When you look at the things that count membership of the AA and RAC count as proof.
Sports club and church membership count.
Letters from doctors, local health authority, National insurance paperwork all count as well.
As i have said before do bear in mind the amount of evicence you need.
When my wife was first here only ten pieces were needed when we were applying it was 20!

I very much doubt it but best to start early on for you both.
A lot less hassle and worry if all sorted as you go rather than running round at the end.
Keep all paperwork however insigficant it seems as mentioned before the most important paperwork for my wife was for a letter sent with her oyster card ( a prepaid travel card used in london) which was in the first month she arrived.
At first we were not even gonna use it but once the lady saw that and a few others she didn't ask anything more from wife and just asked for paperwork from me and i get lots of bills in my name:bigcry:

The wife opened two bank accounts at present unless the banks become mean its free to open accounts. Double the paperwork each month.
when I added the Wife to the electricty bill they put her name first so most of the junk mail just uses her name.
Late last year one letter had southern elec want to give you 20 pounds do you want it as a charity donnation, 20 pounds of the bill?, or in argos vouchers. The cheeky monkey got the argos vounshers in her name and i pay the bill:icon_lol:
