I am unsure of what members have what children, but my wife has recently given birth to our son, James. Initial tests showed him to have G-6-PD deficiency, a condition sometimes referred to as Favism (because such people often have an allergy to Fava beans).
The condition is fairly common in countries with tropical, sub-tropical or mediterranean climates, among them being the Philippines. The condition is related to conditions such as Colour-blindness and the dreaded HaemaPhilia in that it is an hereditary condition carried on the female "X" Chromosome, and usually suffered by males that inherit this chromosome from their mother.
If you have children by a Philippine spouse and find, to your horror, tests show G-6-PD deficiency - then do not panic. Keep a steady head, read all the literature the doc's hand out, and keep up to date with registration and regular visits to the following website:

Best wishes to all of you, especially the parents!
