I used to run the school tuck shop and sweets we used to sell: Opal Fruits, Marathons, Panda Pops, Mojos and Club Bars (If you like a lot of chocolate on your biscuit, join our club oo-er :cwm24:)

How is Clevedon School these days?

I've actually left school :icon_lol: ...They're doing a lot of building work, there now, extending out on the playing fields. It's looking a bit different, these days. Probably wouldn't recognise it.

Funnily enough, I bought a packet of of opal fruits (starburst :cwm23:) on impulse, a few weeks ago. Not a patch on the old flavours :NoNo: & no yellow ones...Can you believe it!

See, you're getting a bit nostalgic for Clevedon there Rob...Was lovely down at the seafront the other day, in the sunshine...Went on the pier, then had an ice cream. :)...It's all good!

Here's one for you silver surfers.

What was the first 'flavour' of crisps to appear. Meaning - a breakaway from Smiths Crisps with the little blue salt bag?

Was it:-

1. Salt and vinegar.
2. Smokey bacon
3. Dried fish and balut
4. Cheese and onion

Answers on a postcard please to:

The Grand Cheese and Onion Crisps Competition,
Cheese and Onion Street,
Cheese,
Onion.

ooh I'd forgotten those! (even though) they were my favourites. Were they liquorice or aniseed? (or both?!)
Sherbert pips were great too.

And yes, Al, Lucky Bags, I got one every Saturday evening when my dad went to pay for the papers we'd had delivered. They always had those rock hard, pastel coloured sweets in them - didn't like those :NoNo:
