I have a 9 year old kid from my previous marriage. Just want to ask if my hubby should also include in his sponsorship letter of our plans for my daughter like let her stay in the Philippines first then we are going to get her to come to the UK after she finishes grade school. I will be leaving her in my parent's care. But in between, she will visit us in the UK every school vacation. What effect would that be in my visa application?

does she see her father still ? , is his name on her brith cert ?

yes, my daughter is going to live in the UK permanently after she finishes her grade school.
No, she's no longer seeing her father. We were abandoned for a long time and he completely not mind her anymore. He doesn't even support her since we've separated. :NoNo: He even got married again with another girl while we were still married. :doh Yes, her father's name is on her birth cert.
My hubby plans to adopt my daughter and bring her to the UK permanently after she finishes grade school. So should my hubby also include those infos in his sponsorhip letter?

I think the puprpose of the sponsorship letter is for your hubby to state that he promises to provide for you. :Erm:I can't think of why you might need to include what plans you have for your daughter..:Erm: Anyway I wish you luck!:xxgrinning--00xx3:

i don't think it wll be easy or cheap for him to adopt her, he's her stepfather so why adopt ? you can change her surname by deed poll when she is here..i'm not sure you can change her birth cert even if he does adopt her.

yes mention in your visa app and his letter of support that once your settled in the uk and your daughter has finished grade school, you intend to apply for settlement for your daughter and for her to live permanently with you.
also while your in the uk, your mother will be taking care of her, but you will still be financially responsible for your daughter as you will be making monthly money transfers to your mom to pay for your daughters needs (do this and keep the money transfers receipts, pnb are good for this, as you will need them when you apply for a visa for her)
photo copy your visa app and his letter of support, even better if you can scan it, and when it comes to applying for a visa for your daughter ,you can send a copy showing that when you applied for your visa you intended to bring your daughter to the uk, once you was settled.. just minimizing any chance of refusal..
you need to show you have 'sole responsibility' for the child, but from what you said you should be ok on that.
