Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let you know how jealous I am of all you who have managed to run the gauntlet of long distance relationship, marriage and visa successfully! And those of you who have trips to see your loved ones soon.

Me, I'm here in the UK working full time and doing a university course to get promotion not even knowing the next time I'll get to see Bert.

Best case scenario he'll get on the Grand Princess which comes to Southampton every 12 days and I can go down and see him, that'll also give him the plus of having a UK visa inhis passport which I think will probably help when we finally get enough money together to apply for proper visa.

Worst case it could be 9 months! Could have had a baby in that time! (oh yeah, forgot about the worlds best contraception - thousands of miles!!)

Still got a trip to Manila planned for Sept to visit his mother who is dying to meet me - YIKES!! She wants to take me around Phils show me the country, go to the farm, make me do exercise so I get skinny (she said...)

Anyhoo, you're all a great inspiration and whenever I feel like its all too much I just get on the forum and read your stories and realise it can and will all work out and one day we will be together forever.

Thanks for reading my ramblings!

I will be waiting for the day that you will tell us that finally that long waiting is over. In the meantime, make your plans and fill your dreams of the wonderful moments that you will spend with your love one.

You will get there...It takes time and needs a lot of effort, I believe that your determination and love will make your dream happen.

We will support you and wait here with you...:)

Thanks for all your kind words everyone, they really mean a lot. Generally friends and family who don't have this kind of relationship don't understand the feelings and trials of such. Sometimes I think they're just waiting for either me or Bert to get sick of it and call it a day.... ITS NOT GONNA HAPPEN - we will be together forever some day.
