To all filipina here, why did you choose Brits over Pinoys???

To be honest, to the Pinoys Im nothing but ugly:NoNo:. But its not a problem on my part as I believe that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". Im 35 still single, never had any BF in my college days as you know pinoys are quite racist in terms of how you look sad to say. I had my first BF when Im in my late 20's but I chose career than love that time. I had this one in a life time opportunity to get a job offer here in UK. My BF don't like living abroad his a type of guy whose contented living a simple life in the Phils. He is a teacher there (for him its a stable job and can provide a good life for his future family). For me I want a better life I want to help my family more and it will only happen if I work abroad that's why when finally my work permit approved I don't have a second thought but to leave the Phils. Me and my BF parted ways in not so good way, he thinks Im materialistic etc but I don't have a bad feelings towards him as I know I hurt him a lot too. The last time I heard about him is he is happily married now and have 2 children.

To be honest I feel sad and jealous as he is my first BF/love. Though, I don't regret being here in UK as almost a dream come true for me ( I help my family more and a good paid job for a better future). Im happy for him too that he move on and had a wonderful family that he really wants in life. I'd been working now here in about 4 years and had about 2 relationship with British man which I don't regret even it didn't work well both relationship but I felt love and treated like a beautiful woman in and out.

I know my prince will come in a right place and a right time and hopefully soon....I still prepare a Brits man as they are more open with the relationship and they know how to appreciate a woman better.

Hi Ate Che,

sorry to hear about what happened with ur past relationship..who knows somebody might be reading this, he might be the good one for u..

anyway, I chose my Brit hubby because for me he got all the characteristics I've been looking for in a husband..like what uve said they know how to appreciate woman better..

since I was young I asked GOD to give me for signs so I will know if he's the right one for me and proud to say he's my perfect match..:)

Hi Cheesewiz

I'm in a different situation being a brit woman with filipino bf and I must say I didn't choose to be with Bert because if his nationality he just happens to be from a different place than me.

And I'm sure you know that it brings its own problems, life would be much simpler if he was british but there's nothing can be done about that.

Whereabouts are you in the Uk and what job are you doing? just for interest really :)
