Great idea, make them out of cardboard, stack em high and sell em cheap, then open up a DIY crematorium. People could just turn up with the coffin, put some money in the slot and push a button. Then everyone can go off and have a real good p**s up. When my turn comes, that'll do for me. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Seriously, I know someone who manufactures light weight bamboo coffins in the Philippines and imports them to the UK.

Apparently the "burn rate" was a consideration for cremations. Apparently If coffins burn too fast then the body doesn't burn properly. :cwm23:

Not sure if they come with instructions for the user though :Erm:
