We aim to operate a fast and effective entry clearance service. For settlement visa applications, we target to process applications in 13 weeks. We confirm to have received your wife's application on 23 May 2008 from the Visa Application Centre and have started the process of assessing the application.

We are still in the process of assessing the visa application of your wife.. However, we stilll have to wait for the information that we need that can only be obtained externally as part of our assessment for settlement applications. Normally, this would take 2-3 weeks before we received this information.
Once the reply has been received, we will look to process the application within the time frame.
