Another neat trick is to use "Control A" and then "Contol C" sporadically. This copies all text to clipboard automatically. So nothing is realy lost unless your PC completely crashes.
If you loose the page, just press "Control V" to paste back the saved text on to the new text box.
Takes a bit of practice though but very useful.
