What UK visa for Ruby?

How about if Ruby applies for British citizenship (I think it's automatic if married to a Brit, right?) and apply also for a dual citizenship with Phil embassy. That way she can stay in the Phils for as long as she likes and can also stay in the UK.

There's no such thing as automatic! If only that easy, but I'm afraid it's not. We (as a spouse, married to a brit) have to stay here for 1 year to be a residence (that's during my time and now 2 years) then 3 years to become a citizen of this country.

What I would really like is to obtain a UK passport for Ruby (is this possible?), otherwise we will always be joining different queues at the immigration desks (our children coming with me).

It's not possible to a filipina to get a UK passport without staying in this country for a certain length of time. Why not stay here in the UK for 2 years and let Ruby get her ILR in that case she can then in and out in the UK without a problem.
