    Kids passport

Why would you need a baptism certificate to apply for a kids passport?

when I apply for Bea's passport, they only ask for her birth certificate from NSO and our marriage contract...she's 2months old when I applied.

As the Philippines appears to be governed by the catholic church, I should imagine it's a must.

baptismal cert is just a supporting document but they asked for it when i applied for my 8 y/o nephew's passport in San Fernando, La Union office. they even asked mine when i applied 5 yrs ago.

but i guess it depends on the DFA office you are applying, Telford says they didn't require it. better have it ready than sending you back for another appointment.
