Sis, so long as you have you nothing to hide then you don't have to be so scared. Just tell the truth and be yourself. Relax so that you can have focus. YOu'll be fine. I'll cover you in prayers.

    Hi Trina,

An interview usually means that the embassy need to clarify the information you provided and perhaps want to see you in person.

Not to worry, if you have everything in place.

You may want to bring extra stuff with you, like photos, reference letters from your side (e.g. parents, uncle etc who attended your wedding).

I realize that this is stressful, just be positive.

Can you tell us what you provided with your initial application?

    Best Wishes

It appears that you have covered everything.
8 books bound? WOW!! I did not submit any logs, emails etc! only telephone bill, thats it!

ECOs are generally looking for evidence in these areas:
~Parties must be legally married to each other~
    ~Plan to live together~
    ~Have met each other~
~Be able to support themselves entirely without recourse to public funds~
~Have adequate accommodation where dependants can live without recourse to public funds~
    ~No Terrorist risks~

Its probably a random case of screening the person face to face. Not to worry.

    Best Wishes

At last you've heard something from them although you expected the other way around. Well first thing you have to be thankful because they ask you for an interview to clarrify things if there is any...rather than not to hear out your side which is more hurtful to just suddenly refuse without hearing your side. got it? well then Trina, give out your best...be confident in whatever, don't let your emotions control you over, be reasonable for all of your answers for as long as you never did hide any that truly affects , if they ask you for an interview it doesn't mean that you cant win them over, the decission is all OURS, prove it then that it do seems like nothing on earth can do stop you both of being as a husband/wife which of course thats our main goal, speak comes from your heart. okay girl...I wish you good luck and trust God above all.

Good luck! Most important is to be calm and do not panic, Im sure some ECO will really intimidate you and are quite nasty at times but they do that just to catch you. ECO will ask you how, where and when you met your husband. He might ask things about your husband as well, where he lives, his job etc.

Hope I didnt scare you, just want you to be aware. If everythings genuine then you will be alright.

    yes i'll be alright....

i'm just surprised the time i received the text that is why i sounded in a panic mode..... I can handle that interview...i will prove to them that our relationship is genuine and we want to live happily ever after....

thanks.... anyway why do you said that the ECO sometimes is intimidating and becomes nasty????

have you've been for an interview with your Visa before???

Unfortunately, yes had a bad experience with an ECO, I got my visit visa before with no interview then when I applied for spouse visa, he concentrated on my previous visit visa application and insinuated that I lied in that application by not mentioning about my bf in UK. It felt like Im being interrogated and accused of something I havent done. Worst than a job interview! However in the end he approved my spouse visa

In my opinion, the ECOs are not there to be nice to applicants. Filipinos got a bad reputation and making false claims just to make it in UK, so Im not surprise if we are treated that way. I feel sorry for those people who are in a genuine relationship and yet treated that way.

Just want to let people know not to expect to be treated nicely by ECOs.

    Hi Trina

I can well undestand your anxiety. Try to view it as your opportunity to address any queries they may have. Remember the alternative could have been a denial. So be positive and just prepare yourself with all the evidence you might need.

As you suggested, try to think about what they may be unsure of and prepare extra well in that regard.

All the best to you both!

    Toks
Be responsible with little so that you can be trusted with much!!

Many fillpinas are unemployed when applying so nothing to worry about.

As others said it maybe the system as changed again (everyone used to be interviewwd a few years back then it suddenly changed)

It could be just a random interview is given out i have read of in the recent past a few other ladies being interviewed and all were ok

Keep calm and remeber they can be tough but not nasty if they were then they would be in big problems with their bosses.
