Benguet Coffee
The robust scent makes one drool with visions of drinking this hot & black with a side bar of dark semi-sweet chocolate, a newspaper or magazine at hand...and in a cool ambiance. the sheer sight of the chocolate brown beans are already making me salivate!

As an Italian in the Uk.... I must say that Costa coffee and Starbuck's have the worst espresso ever encountered... Over roasted, usually.
And overpriced, way too overpriced.
Ritazza coffee outlets on the other hand, dish out some outstanding espresso, and in this case I don't mind the price.

S

Fidelisan coffee- I think that's the one! Some ethnic coffee shops do serve Fidelisan coffee. So ask if the coffee is this, not (and I mean NOT) the single sachet Nescafe that they would usually serve.

I think it is Fidelisan coffee but if there are people from Baguio/Benguet here, please correct me if I'm wrong as I'm rather rust on these things. hehe

Yes, we grow coffee in the Philippines, actually now, coffee industry here is gaining again its market share....We call our brewed coffee "kapeng barako"...
I remember, when i was still a kid.. how we drink our coffee in the morning, prepared by our grandmother...(Batangas)..during school vacation..
I've heared that somebody(Filipino) opened a coffee shop in China....now a very successful..and if im right he named his shop "Barako"

that's made of MONKEY DUNG.
Brits are flooding exclusive US stockists with orders for the brew, called
Kopi Luwak, made from berries that have passed through the digestive
system of Indonesian monkeys. Unlucky coffee plantation staff have to
search through the dung to gather the bizarre "harvest" of coffee berries,
which are said to emerge virtually intact.

Experts reckon the monkey business gives the drink a unique "earthy"
taste, which has made it the most expensive and sought-after coffee in the
world.

It is in such short supply - just 500 lb of it is harvested a year - that
it is virtually impossible to get hold of in Britain and has only limited
availability in the States and Japan.

Experts say the brew first came to light hundreds of years ago, when
explorers sampled it on the Indonesian isles of Java, Sumatra and
Sulawesi.

The monkey - known as the Palm Toddy Cat - lives on a diet of alcoholic
tree sap and coffee berries.

US-based food and drink critic Chris Rubin said:
"Whether it's because the intestinal juices give some special flavour or
because it eats only perfectly ripe berries, the Toddy Cat's droppings
produce what many say is the world's finest coffee
