Cheers,
It will depend on what kind of ceremony would you like to have.
If you fancy a posh wedding it would be very expensive But mind you the cost of living here is expensive.
My exp when we had our wedding here didnt cost us much. We just had it very simple with few important people. After all its the vows that counts. We still plan to renew our wedding in the PI someday if there is someday joke!
We got married in a register office, in white top and jeans and 4 of our closest friends...then just had dinner in a Chinese buffet
We still do have plans to have a simple beach wedding in Phil someday, whats important is that we are already married
Costs anything from £100 to £50,000
In fact get married in a nice Council room, an then go the chippy....and beer from Netto....you'd get change from £100

register office costs
we had to travel to give notice in a main register office in Birmingham because Cynthia's passport is non European
We got married in civil here just invited hubby's real friends and our witnesses my aunty with her hubby from USA. reception was just in our house.
We just had our church wedding together their silver anniversary of my Aunty last june and also our baby christening. Thanks GOD everything was successful.
But keep in mind, you need 2 people to sign your marriage certificate...so you need to invite at least 2 people...or just grab someone from the register office as witness
From the mans point of view:
Wedding: £100
Divorce: £200,000

If applicable to your situation, don't forget to add in the cost/time of getting a COA (Certificate of Approval to marry).
Hope the link below is OK.....

It's OK to DREAM.... Everyone has DREAM
your welcome fara..yep, he's my cutie angel!
We are planning to have a civil wedding, as hubby has no religion and I thought that anyway I have no relatives in England so its best to do it in Civil Registry Office.
Practicality; I also plan to invite only 2 closest friends and his parents to be our witnesses. I just feel a bit worry about other friends and neighbors who knows that we are getting married, but we will not going to invite them, are we too selfish? I just thought that its best not invite any of them because if I will invite some of them and not everyone, some might get upset. I dont know, I know my fellow Filipinas will understand me what I m trying to say here. The thing is, We always get an invitation when theres gathering in our small village, do you think its odd if we will not going to invite them to our wedding?
Personally, I wouldn't worry about it. You have to do what's right for you. I'd be inclined, to do the same as you.
People are funny, so whatever you do, you may offend someone. It's your day, so enjoy it.
