u makes me hungry!i miss that kind of foods.wish that i can find a place or pilipino store that sell like that.
I have been on my own for 3 weeks, and my honey was in Phils, I was so ecstatic when she returned home on Sunday, and we spent Sunday together, before we both went back to work on Monday.
When I came in from work on Monday Night, I was really looking forward to coming home, because it was our first night together in the house.
When I went to the front door, and open it, I could smell something that turned my stomach, oh yes, i had forgot, that same smell I can smell when I always come home, what a stink Baho !
It was Thai fragrant rice, and pork belly, with vinegar, oh .....what a stink !
It turned my stomach....so I know what you mean, and it was the same tonight, the stink almost turned my stomach inside out.

Here in the Phil one Sunday morning my sister was preparing breakfast, fried rice, fried egg and fried dried fish( TUYO), my husband was in our room and the windows we're all open, hehe and he asked me what is that smell, smell like a poo. I just told him to be quiet or my sis will get offended. And I also remember when i was living in Taiwan , we fried that dried fish and few minutes neighbor knocking at our doors and complaining to the smell ,, hehe for us filipinos we love that smell.. My husband pleased me already dont put dried fish in our luggage ..
Masarap eh

I really love those foods and am very pleased coz have an asian store here near from our home.
try it Jim
I must admit that I could not understand it when hubbys had spoken about smelly food. I smelled two types of bagaong recently - in the jar. I even tasted a bit. I found them neither unpleasant or pleasant.
But 'OH MY GOODNESS' my queen has cooked the dried squid that they bought last week twice in 2 days and I could find nowhere to escape. Aaaaaargh! Only God knows what the neighbours think about it.
I will try to taste it next time Pia cooks it but can we use someone elses house.
Interestingly, I've not seen any spiders in the house since. Guess it drove them out too.
Be responsible with little so that you can be trusted with much!!

I could imagine drug smugglers wanting to use dried fish to put of the dogs at the airport
