    Hi!

take it as soon as possible before they increase the fee or worst, make the test harder.

You can do the exam whenever you like, earlier the better, however make sure you are well prepared.
The secret to passing any exam is repetition !, don't worry about getting questions wrong, the important thing is to make sure that you can get all questions correct on your practice tests, before you do the real exam. Usually your results on the actual exam will be a fair reflection of what you score in practice tests. I've used the free questions from British Citizenship test

take it asap, and you have to pass it if you are applying for ILR, as you need to send the cert with your app

if you cannot pass it in time ,then you need to apply for FLR before your visa expires

Although as a newbie you would not normally be allowed to post links, I am letting this one through, as I find it very useful for other forum members.

    Welcome aboard.

Yes ! They are right Take your exam when you're ready, I was not ready when I took my exam, It was already Sept when I chat online with Telford (Gracy) She said I need to take exam before my visa expired on Sept. 12 because I arrived more than 28 days. So I only have few days to prepare. I took my exam on 9th and filed leave of absence 3 days b4 my exam. Luckily I've passed my exam in the morning and sent my ILR application in the afternoon after taking my exam (same day). I paid £750
Been busy with school, job etc. Got 3 certificates from college, Been to holidays, sorted some problems too.
    Thanks to Telford and Kimmy

    walay sapayan mam

I think they are always busy this time. I booked my test 2 weeks after we phone them lucky got a space. When i took it it was full and the system broke down we have to wait for 5 minutes to resume everything

Good for you just save the time for reviewing Goodluck po.

I wont be surprised if they change the test, make it harder, add more questions and increase the fee in the future. If I were you, study hard now and take the test as soon as you are ready. So thats one off your to-do list.

It's still the book but there were questions that I can't remember if that is in the book. It's about politics. I am not into politics and it was ashamed I got 6 questions about Hansard debates and some other related topics.

They make it harder as they change the database questions. They change the sentence to make it harder so we really need to analyze the questions

they already have changed it, last april, b4 april of last year the test was based on only 3 chapters not 5 as it is now, but i don't think they will change it again for a while, not worth the hassle

Take it anytime before the visa expires. Life in UK exams got no expiry so that's one worry out. Yes as of this moment it is £34 (and surely it will increase) Also in you will need some time to book it. Go online and there are 1000 questions for only £5.95. Good for 90 days, (I think)
