as we are all aware the cost of living in the UK has dramatically risen this year, cost of food, gas, electricity, petrol etc.

has the amount that the ECO would like to see in the bank increased proportionally to the rate of inflation ?
surely the amounts must go up if the sponsor is to support the spouse, if the goverment figures of inflation is just under 5% (i think inflation is much higher)
