    these ones come in handy
    Nagtatampo ka ba?
Are you sulking? (Are you miffed at me?)

    Pwede ba kitang lapitan?
    Can I come near you?

    Pakinggan mo ako.
    Listen to me

    Huwag kang magalit.
    Don't get angry.

    Kaibigan ko lang siya.

    Nasaktan ba kita?
    Did I hurt you?

    Hindi ko sinadyang saktan ka.
I didn't mean to hurt you.

If I ever get to grips with Bisaya. I might consider learning Tagalog.

If I apply for Filipino nationality in four years time, I need to be able to speak and write a major Filipino language.

My husband doesnt make an effort to learn Tagalog which is fine by me, at least he wont understand what we talk about when my mates are around however he speaks Thai! Everytime we are in Thailand, the Thais talk to me in their language bec they assume Im Thai then my husband will speak to them in Thai saying Im Filipino and doesnt speak Thai. Then they'll look at us, then I'll say yes its true..then we all laugh.
