Yup, it's quite simple if the immigration office doesn't think you are a genuine visitor and are in fact trying to settle here they can refuse you, and then no more visitor visas.

Is there anything you can do to make it look like it's a visit only (not working or trying to settle) if you want to come back after say 6 weeks after leaving UK on a six month tourist visa?

Unless you have a genuine reason it's difficult. For example a genuine reason would be if you were having private medical treatment in the UK. Telling lies on an application is a bad idea as you are likely to get banned from the UK if they found out.

OK thank you. So it's unlikely gf will be able to come back to UK until 6 months from leaving date.

I assume they do not listen to things like trying to develop the relationship?

    Hammer,

Listen to darrenb's advice, he does not spend hours a day scanning Home office rules for nothing, I am concerned as to this.

Your girl cannot try and obtain a visitor visa simply to develop a relationship, visitors visa's are for only 2 purposes.

    1. Relatives visiting.

    2. Tourism.

I wish people on this forum would understand this.

90 DAYS FREE TRIAL MONEY BACK GUARANTEED TYPE VISA'S ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE FILIPINA - AND NO, YOU CANNOT JUST EXCHANGE HER FOR ANOTHER IF IT GOES WRONG.

That's interesting! My supporting letter for Ruby's VV said something along the lines of 'We wish to be together while I tidy up my affairs in the UK, pending our return to Phils in order to marry and live permanently'.

Perhaps not, but it sounds like an attractive idea! Bring a new filipina to Uk every six months!

Or move out there, and replace the maid every week once she's full

Hey, Keith, do you really have a spy cam installed in my house?
