Good bye Grand Old Lady of the Seas.

On your decks and Restaurants, I worked for a number of years as a Wine steward, and I left with only good memories.
For years after my "betrayal", I missed you and all my friends that sailed on you.
For years I longed to walk, in your shadow, alongside your black hull, admire your grandeur and class, and generally just get across that gangway once again.
But for sheer lazyness I did not come to see you again.
I did not matter wether it was force 9 or 12 outside, you always made me feel safe, and always brought me back home to my dearest children.
It felt good to be part of that family, and I will remember you to my last breath, because you have been a big part of me.
Wherever you took me around the world, you made me feel at home.
Now is the time to say good bye. Your retirement in my mind is misjudged and premature.
You are still at the cutting edge of seafaring, and turning your gracious curves into a floating hotel is, in my opinion, tantamount to committing murder.
So long my old friend, and forgive me for not willing to see you again in your new home. I would feel too sad.
Thank you for all the memories M'am.....
