My dell is two years now and has survived coffee tobacoe and abuse of high magnitude including Thailand twice and now the phils its a inspiron 1300 I got it with 3 years onsite service and when the battery died they replaced them overnight so all good only drawer back no service outside EuropeBut then again havnt needed it
