    Visa Application Status

I checked my visa application through online tracking system at VFS Global website and received this message status:

"Your application is ready for collection; please visit the UK Visa Application Centre where you submitted your visa application to collect the same 14 Oct 2008"

Thus this mean that my application was successful? and my visa is ready to pick-up? (not courier).

anyone can enlighten me about this? Thank you!

The advise that you got thru SMS does not equate to "VISA GRANTED". The only time you will know the result is when you open your passport when you claim it from the VFS center. You have to go there tomorrow to know the result of your application. I was also quite nervous when I got the same text message from the VFS 1 and half weeks ago (I also chose to pick up the visa result from the VFS center instead of have it sent via courier). I tore open the sealed envelope and immediately browsed thru the pages of my passport and there on page 5 is my visa. hehe! I hope your visa application result is favorable. Let us know okie.

wow.. congratulation then!... and thank you for the advice. since in flying from Aklan province to Manila and found out that tomorrows flights are sold out, i must likely to fly the next day Oct.16. Is this ok with the VAC center? cause my collection is scheduled tomorrow.

It's okay if you won't be able to pick it up by tomorrow. You can get it on Oct 16. Have a safe flight and hope that you're granted a visa.

I was asked and told for pick-up coz i'm not confident with our local courier system especially when it arrives at the province. Unfortunately, it happened that I'm here in the province right now and i have to fly to manila without any possible means. I checked online flight sched of Cebu Pacific and Pal and was sudden that all flights for tomorrow are sold-out.

    15 pages of Emails,
3 pages of compiled mobile SMS texts,
4 pages of mix pictures from weddings to vacations pics.
2 pages xerox copies of postal mails envelope.
2 pages xerox copies of used UK call cards.
1 Invitation letter to live from my wife in UK.

    Major docs.:
her Tenant agreement contract in UK where she live.
6 months copies of her financial Statement with a balance of 1800pound/mos.
    6 months paylips
her working permit visa and passport
her working permit approved letter from the embassy.
    her employer's work permit letter.

For me it's a favorable result. You've provided all the required supporting docs so there shouldn't be any problem with your application.

As i understand your Spouse Visa Application takes about 3months to process. thats about 12 weeks, so you still have to wait 2 more weeks since you've already had 10 weeks of waiting.

Mine is only 30 working days! thats about 1month and haft for Dependent of working permit visa holder. my wife is not yet a resident.

More importantly, there needs to be sufficient evidence to proof that there will be no recourse to (UK) public funds and your wife can accommodate both of you.

    Best Wishes,

    Best Wishes,
Thank you ben.. My wife had enough fund for the two of us based on her financial statements history. I will be collecting the result tomorrow afternoon at VAC office in Makati. I wish things will turn our well.

For that long 30working days of process period. The Embassy didn't call or inform me of possible appearance interview if found that my submitted documents wasn't sufficient enough to conclude. So, I'm certain that the result is positive. I prayed and focus on this matter. will see tomorrow.

    Thanks guys!
