Hello Gaius. I'm waiting for my EEA Family Permit (dependent of an EU national) and since it's not a settlement visa, it should only take the same processing time as yours. Was your visa processing exactly 30 working days? When did you submit your application?

Fortunately, I finally arrived here in London at Heathrow airport yesterday, my wife picked me up. It's nice to be my love at the very most wonderful city in the world. Now, back to another next project: JOB Search!!! ... im more of customer service type experience at home so i might looking for any customer service jobs at central area of London. any one who can refer me?

hello and welcome to UK. if you are looking for job firstly you have to get a NI number coz thats the requirement and then go to your job center there if you're not satisfied in the job sites.

Thanks Kimmi for your reply. However, I'm not married yet, but supposing my Filipina lady and I were to 'tie the knot' when I'm next out in the Phils in November December. As I understand it, we would then have to apply for the Spousal Visa I mentioned, and begin the long waiting period - with ME either having to remain in the Philippines for the duration OR, sadly, return to the UK without her until a decision is taken by the Immigration Authorities.

IF - and I repeat if - we ARE granted a spousal visa as a married couple, would she be eligible to seek a teaching post in Scotland at THAT stage, or would she need a work permit in addition?

No work permit required, as soon as you arrive in the UK on a spouse visa, you are allowed to take employment.

yes once u have your spousal or FLR you have to have a NI number as well coz thats a requirement. thats like a SSS in Phils.

Hi Arthur, I am teacher in the PI. I tried applying for teaching post here since last year but they always require something. I am now working in the shop for more than a year now. Im still, planning to pursue my plans someday If the kids grown up

Some company will do it for you. But better get it yourself coz that will add a plus factor in your application

Not having your NI number should not be a problem. Companies have instructions for how to create a temporary number (TN + date of birth, IIRC). They then complete a very simple form to apply for a permanent number.

Salamat din misscarie. dito na me sa Central London. But im kinda new to the weather temperature and i have to stay inside the house most of the time. its really cold this week. i wonder what might to feel this coming january and february next year as the coldest month they say.

I am also a teaching in the Philippines before I arrived here in Scotland and looking forward to teach in one of the Primary school here..Ur fiancee doesn't need any work permit to work here- if she will be on a spouse visa- the problem is "We" need to take a certain course or fulfill a requirement before we become eligible to work as a teacher here..

right now , I am studying again to pursue it..

Hello Regina, sorry for late responce, i was really busy taking tour around London city.

My process took exactly 30 Working Days period. My wife is Non-EU national rather shes only holding Work Permit Visa. I think there is basic difference in our dependent status. You are likely to get a Spouse Visa because your husband is a EU national and the process will take 3 Months.

Pray more just as i did. I got my visa right in time due.
