My 100th post! We are family!!

My queen is pregnant!

We had our first scan today and she is officially 15 weeks and 2 days pregnant. Our son is due on April 14.

Wow, can he kick! It was amazing seeing his heart beating so rapidly and his left arm cooly placed behind his head, living it up large while kicking out incessantly! So cute! He may get into the Arsenal under 16s football team by end of next year.

I am thinking of taking Pia back to da Phils prior to our son being born as we are not sure when we will feel comfortable to take the little one.


That leads me to some questions:

1. How did you feel about your antenatal classes
2. Was your hubby/partner included in discussions with midwife etc?
3. How old was your baby when you took them home?
4. How did you best manage the conditions being different to here, especially those from the most remote provinces?

Pia will be 24 plus weeks when we celebrate our 1st anniversary on 28th December. We will be planning a party in Leeds and those able to come will be most welcome.


We are over the moon with joy but also think of those that have not yet conceived but want to. Be patient and use your time wisely to prepare before your time comes. We also pray for those who are currently expecting; your time is also coming too!

Now instead of planning to travel you should start saving up for playstations, Wii's, pc's, numerous games, pushchairs, prams, baby stuff.... Maybe a cat or two, a puppy, etc.....

Not sure if travelling far is a good idea - its safe, but it may be uncomfortable , unless you go business class.

Party on the 28th!! I cannot believe that i'm going to miss it! :( My son is due to be born on the 19th Dec.

I'm too busy for antenatal classes. My mum is helping me out instead.

Congratulations again Amigo and Pia. Im happy for you. I was actually about to phone Pia about the scan but when i read this wahhhhhhhh got the answers all

Based on my exp Amigo.

1. Antenatal class was excellent it really help us both my husband and me in preparing everything and what to expect on the big day. I would suggest you both attend.

2. My husband always go with me everytime i had my routine check up if he was off. So he knew everything whats going on plus he was my birth partner.

3. I gave birth in the hospital 40 miles away from our house. I actually have two midwives one from the hospital and one from our local maternity unit which i took my routine check up then scan in the hospital plus another check up. So I stayed in the hospital for 4 days then i transferred to our local maternity unit coz its just close in the house. I decided to stay longer there for about 5 days so that i can rest me and the baby plus everyday the midwives will check you my husband will just visit me and stay the whole day there You could actually stay longer its up to you hehehe

4. Its just a matter of adjustment actually but eventually you will get used to it Amigo and Pia esp seeing your beautiful angel so special.

Excellent! I don't know when Pia will come out of that phase. Unfortunately, she can't go far in the car. After about 10 mins driving she gets sick. Multiple celebrations ahead!

so when you met her father, did he tell you about his gun collection to my misses dad told me all his guns were named after his 4 kids

as for your questions..

1) never went to any sort of classes
2) never meet the midwife
3) 5 days b4 we took him home, wanted to leave him longer, but they wouldn't let me leave him there any longer

nhs is good, my misses was very happy with everything and the way she was treated, might be better to have the little'un in the uk tok.

well little joe is 2 on the 5th of nov, its going to be a explosive party for him

Haha!! I hope he does not have a gun. I don't think so. He certainly was concerned and initially asked Pia to make sure that she loved me as he was concerned about all the stress being with me would bring from some of the family and the neighbours. Money stress!

Btw, I meant how long before taking to da Phils.

I know the primary midwife does not like me as I want to be involved. I really hold back from expressing what I think about her for obvious reasons.
