Info on entering the UK via heathrow t4

Today the Wife and I came back from France, when we went though the immigration desk we went to the non eu nationals queue at heathrow T4. The Immigration officer (very friendly) said we were allowed to go though the EU queue if my wife was with me and had already entered the UK previously. He said this with the earshot of a senior officer i guess training/shadowing him.

I had this mentioned before but thought things may have changed recently with the events of last week.

That and she fits in to a size smaller than a laptop bag, with no liquids inside her.
