Work in UK - Work permit

If someone is here in the UK on a tourist visa and they would like to stay and work here.

Are there any jobs that may be able to qualify for a work permit in the UK?

or are there such things as companies that may employ someone and arrange the work permit?

    Thank you.

Anyone can work in the UK provided they meet the requirements. Have a look at this, in particular Tier 2.

Its tough times, so it maybe harder for a non EU national to get a job.

    Good Luck.

no job for the tourist visa,if you holding a tourist visa your not allow to work and its not changeable to work permit. companies get fine if they hire somebody who's holding a tourist visa.

Be very careful how you approach things if your on a visit visa and then suddenly you are applying for a working Visa. The Eco may think thats the reason for the Visit visa.

Thank you. It's a boyfriend / girlfriend situation and we just need longer to develop the relationship.

    Any ideas?

Have a nice holiday in the Philippines.....

It will count towards any future visa applications...

Apply for another tourist visa to get to know each other better. If money is tight, then save up first and visit the Philippines to meet the partner again, her family and friends too.

    Best Wishes,

You seem to be working your way through the options...

Visitor visas can be used for visits, but very likely to be denied if you attempt to use them to spend more than 50% of the time in the UK without good reason (developing a relationship is not a good reason...) as it appears that you are trying to settle in the UK.

Work visas might be an option, but it depends on skills/qualifications. And as andypaul pointed out it might look dubious if someone was offered a job whilst here on a visitor visa.

Student visas might be another option.. If you've got lots of cash you could try getting a 3 year student visa for a degree course. If you have less cash you could try getting a 1 year student visa for a part-time course - this would also allow part-time work.
