Offered a job whilst 13a is in process - can i?..

Guys I have been offered a great training manager role with a multi in Pasig but my 13a is only being processed as we speak.

I had a special work permit in June and it was fine to start a different job whilst the work order was being processed - is the same possible with a 13a visa as they take a while to process? I am currently on a Balikbayan stamp and have been living here since March 2008 and married Oct 4th.

I'm pretty sure that you can't, officially, start working. However, BI in Davao tells me that 13a applications are being turned around in about four weeks, so it might not take as long as you fear.
