I am baffled. Imagine a filipina living with her British husband in the Philippines, and one day saying to her husband, "Honey, I am going to the UK for a holiday without you." Somehow I don't think so!!

But let there be spaces in your togetherness,
And let the winds of the heavens dance between you.
Love one another, but make not a bond of love:
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fill each other's cup but drink not from one cup.
Give on another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf.
Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone.
Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.

Whilst reading this thread, I was bemused. Is this a wind up? lol
How dare he, leaving his filipina in UK while hes going to have fun in the Philippines.

But anyway, have a nice time and enjoy your holiday in the Philippines.

Men need some time off as well with their wives so I really dont mind so long as its just a short holiday and of course if you trust your man. Whatever his reason for leaving his wife behind..lets hear it then, I hope its reasonable.

In my case, I allowed my husband to go on holiday in Thailand last yr bec I was pregnant then and can not fly. He did want me to go but I can not. He was there only for 2 wks anyway with his brother and went diving and besides I trust him. He goes on holiday every year whenever his contract finishes so I understand that he needs some time off before starting another job.

However this Dec we are all going as a family now to Thailand.

Well I'm back now and enjoyed the diving very much. Diving in the UK is rubbish and very good in the Phils.

If we lived in the Phils and my wife's hobby was bingo and real ale and planned a trip to the UK to undulge her hobby then I'd say good luck and have fun.

To Aposhark, the jap restaurant has gone on Malapascua. Apparently the owner knew a bit about food but little about running a restaurant. The place looked like a tip to me.
We didn't go to Ging Gings as the food in TSDs new restaurant was so good.
White Sands Resort where we stayed 2 years ago has been demolished.

The "world famous" still standing after 15 challenge at Sunsplash has changed from shots to beer. None of us thought we could knock back 15 San Migs in under a minute so we didn't enter.

A good time was had by all by I really did miss the wife.

    OUCH!
It's good to have money and the things that money can buy, but it's good to check up once in a while to make sure you haven't lost the things that money can't buy.

Actually I filled her wardrobe for her. She can't find her size in the UK so I bought her loads of clothes in Cebu. It's not as cheap as it used to be eh?

My Wife loves Work as all her friends White, indian and African think she is super slim. They are also jealous of her as she can often buy kids clothes, but I guess the Wife is lucky due to the huge Indian and Chinese populations living nearby many of the trendy shops stock huge numbers of smaller clothes to meet the need.
So i think my Jolibee and chow king tour of phill is off

    Thanks.....
    What is TSD's BTW ?

How many nice threshers circled you?

My wife was in Malapascua a few days ago (she has family there) and told me that there are few guests arriving. Did you think it was quiet too?

TSD= Thresher Shark Divers. They have a new building with a proper dive shop and a bar and restaurant on the top. It's between Blue Coral and Bluewater resorts. The restaurant had only been only 3 days when we arrived and they were still training the staff. The menu is good but I told the manager it needs at least one Filipino dish per day.

We only saw one Thresher. I put a video of it on YouTube.

There seemed to be a lot of coming and going while we were there but it wasn't mega busy. Some days we had 12-15 on the dive boat.

    Hiya,
OK, I have seen the new shop
Next time, go with "Dan's Dives" - I never had more than 5 others with me on any dives, and this was also in the high season. Dan's set-up is much more low key and hence friendlier.
Too many divers = no threshers
I saw three on my first dive, maybe one was the same later as earlier on.

I will search for your YouTube Vid

    Thanks for the link, Dom

Would you give up smoking if you could get up close and personal as in this vid?

These sharks are truly awe-inspiring when they come to have a look at you.........
