    Often people do hear within 4 weeks or so, but don't worry if you don't as they do sometimes take longer.

    Your next step after ILR is British Citizenship which you can apply for after you've been in the UK 3 years (which is usually 6 to 12 months after you get granted ILR). You don't currently have to apply for British Citizenship, but in my opinion it's definitely worth doing.

    My wife and step-daughter have been waiting for their ILR since September 2nd, More than 9 weeks now!
