Did she go back for good? It seems she really was lonely being left alone for a month and no friends at all.

Nice one Florge. I need friends as well aside from my husband. I maintain my good friends i left behind. When we came here in the UK we expect we will find people who has the same characteristics as that of our friends we left in the Phils hence we felt disgusted or disappointed once we found out they are different. And also we start to wonder why they are snubbish, arrogant, doesn't give back a smile etc etc. After staying here for quite sometime and had observed why they act like that way, now i know the reasons.

Hi itsme_iye.... i am very much interested to know the reasons why they act the way they do. thank you

Hi There Peep`s... I some times see English / Philippine couples out shopping and sometimes speak if they look friendly but, some British men seem to look at me as a single male which is going too try to steal their wives ummmmm.....

But I do think sometimes to say... Hi there where you from the Philippines or Thailand ? but it makes me feel a little embarrassed to ask such basic questions of introductions but the ones I have spoken too have been very nice people in deed and I have enjoyed chatting with them, and hope they have a good impression of me ... Don't worry about these people just enjoy your life in the uk you will meet others who are nice and decent. My wife as been here since 1996 and still as this snobbery we have found it to come from the filipino nurses who don't want to intrigrate with the anglo/filipino couples.

When we first arrived in Manila we had to go down to B.I to sort out my 13a visa.. The staff were chatting to my mrs while we were waiting for bureaucracy to kick in..
Anyway the 2 girl staff there said to my wife that they thought she was so down to earth and so very mabait.. They reckoned that 9 times out of 10 that women married to foreigners were unapproachable , stuck up and superior.
There`s is a lot of snobbery here , no doubt about it.
Our general experience of Filipino`s in the UK is be careful of the friendly ones..Its usually great at first....but then the tismis starts..
    and then..

    Ingat,

    Fred.
