    final preperation for visa aplication

hi ,i was looking at the checklist for the spouse visa aplication and it says to pprovide proof of acomadation and a discription of the property.

is it neccesary to provide photos of the property or is a written discription sufficient, what has other people done

Just a description is good enough, something like sem-detached house with three bedrooms, lounge, kitchen and bathroom etc.

and don't forget to mention that your home will not be overcrowded when your wife arrives

    Guidance on overcrowding
The Housing Act 1985 contains statutory definitions of overcrowding in "dwelling houses". Dwelling houses covers both privately owned houses and those owned by local authorities. A house is overcrowded if 2 persons of 10 years old or more of opposite sexes (other than husband and wife) have to sleep in the same room, or if the number sleeping in the house exceeds that permitted in the Act.

The Act specifies the numbers permitted for a given number of rooms or given floor area. For our purposes we adopt the room number yardstick. Account is only taken of rooms with a floor area larger that 50 sq feet and rooms of a type used either as a living-room or bedroom; kitchens or bathrooms etc are not included.

Using the above noted yardstick, the following table provides guidance as to the acceptable (for our purposes) number of persons occupying a house with a stated number of rooms:

NO OF ROOMS ..... PERMITTED NO OF PERSONS
    .......... 1 ................................. 2
    .......... 2 ................................. 3
    .......... 3 ................................. 5
    .......... 4 ................................. 7.5
    .......... 5 ............................... 10

with an additional 2 persons for each room in excess of 5.

A child under the age of one does not count as a person. A child aged 1 - 10 years will count as only half a person.

If you still have it any information from the Estate agents of the house may save you a lot of typing.

Hi Chris I am in the preparation of applying fiancée visa, but I guess it’s similar on how to show evidence of accommodation to spouse visa. My fiancé mentioned to his sponsor letter the description of his house and it goes like this:

    Dear Sir/Madam,

Application for Entry Clearance Visa :
    Name
    Address

    Birth date

This letter serves to support my fiancée, (name) application for an Entry Clearance Visa to the United Kingdom for the purpose of marriage.

Whilst considering this application I would like you to be aware of the following:-

1 The circumstances under which we met.
    2 My financial situation.
3 The accommodation arrangements for my fiancée.
4 An overview of our relationship.

    ………........

    3. The accommodation arrangements for my fiancée.

I would like to support for her accommodation while she stay here in UK
I own three bedrooms, mid-terraced freehold property built in 1938. It comprises downstairs, reception hall, lounge, kitchen/ dining room and conservatory extension. Three bedrooms upstairs together with bathroom and toilet facilities. The property is currently valued at £_____ approx. with a mortgage of £000 approx. outstanding balance, which will be paid _______

Aside from this letter and mortgage statement he suppose to take a picture but he’s not convenient to do it coz a lot of tidying up to to make good shot

So thanks guys pics not necessary
