She has to wait until she gets the FLR visa. As far as I know, Fiancee' visa in the United Kingdom will give her permission to stay here for six months, but she must not work.

If FLR visa application was approved, that's the only time the wife or civil partner will be given the permission to live and work here for two years. I know some people who already tried to work with just a fiancee' visa on their passports but this can be treated as violation of immigration law when caught. Better safe than sorry.

Without her passport back no decent employer should employ her anyway as she can't even prove that she is legally in this country.

I wondered that at first, then presumed it was December 2nd rather than December 2002.

    She is married already

I think i didn't explain it properly, sorry for the confusions

here it is,she got her fiancee visa last Nov 05 2008 and the moment she arrived, the husband registered them to get married, and last Dec 02 2008 they married at the LCR,so shes wondering if can she apply for her FLR now even shes just less than 2 months only, so she can legally go work,or does she need to wait 6 months b4 she can apply FLR then only able to go work

I hope i make it clear

If she came here on a fiancee visa she can apply for FLR as soon as she got married, she doesn't have to wait until the fiancee visa has almost expired.

She cannot though work legally until she has been granted FLR. I guess if she wanted to work over Christmas she could try to arrange a appointment at the PEO as soon as possible to get it granted the same day (not sure what the waiting time is for an appointment). Applying in person though would cost an extra £200.

Ur friend can apply FLR right away eventhough her Fiancee Visa is not yet expired as long as she got all the documents needed..i.e. Marriage Certificate.

FLR application if submitted through post will gonna take 3 to 4 weeks and it cost £395, but if she is really eager to work she can apply FLR in person and she can get it the same day and it cost £595.

    You can check it here..

Being married to a British National doesn't give us an assurance that we can work straight away here in the U.K. we still need to follow certain rules and legalities..

    Hope it helps.

working without FLR, if she is caught in the worse case she would have to leave the uk, and face a ban from coming back to the UK for at least a year, and her employer could be fined £10,000.

don't do it, go by the rules or wave bye bye to your visa
