are there any fans of balut on here,i was introduced to it on my last visit to davao to get married. we used to buy them from a cycle seller,at least six of them used to pass our appartment each evening. the best part is sucking out the brownish liquor from the inside which has a very strong eggy taste.
for those who dont know balut is a fertilized duck egg which has been steamed. you can get 16 18 or 21 day eggs,didnt try the latter too much like a duckling for my taste. my filipina wife wont touch them with a barge pole
