I live in Spain. At a presentation by the British Consul recently when I was complaining about the cost of renewing a British Passport, The Consul said the charge had been reduced inline with the falling pound. That may account for the apparent reduction in the cost in MNL. Of course the cost is still the same, ridiculously high, in pounds. So, unless one an income from a non Sterling source the charges are still the same !
