    CNI question

Hi everyone! I hope somebody can help me. I am tying the knot on 1st of March and I need to convert my Finacee's UK CNI at the Brtish embassy the problem is I have to present original court decree and I've only got Certified copy. Makati court doesn't issue original because they keep the original itself. What shall i do?

When you say you've only got a certified copy of the court decree, I take it you are talking about your annulment decree. To convert his CNI, which is issued by his local registry office in the UK, to the Philippine equivalent, you don't need to produce any documents relating to yourself and I'm not absolutely sure, but I think it may be something he must do himself when he arrives in the Philippines.

I didn't have to, but some have reported that they had to show the filipina's cenomar when converting their CNI.

And also there is no such original, because they type it on as many copies as you want (base on my experience dear) and they will just get one copy from there for their reference,so what original copy you are trying to say ? and all of the copies they made had rubber stamp of "certified true copy"... or why not getting a copy from NSO stating "this marriage has null and void,

Hurry till you still have time
best of luck on your wedding

Thanks for your advices guys, I called the British embassy last friday and they said i have to produce the original copy of Cert. of finality, and Decision. which i don't have... like i have said earlier on, I only got certified copy. But I have the authenticated marriage contact from NSO with anotation marriage between xxxx has null and void. Do you think it will do? I better go to British embassy and ask personally. Once again, Thank you so much Ian, Peter & Mrs.Jmajor! And advance Happy Christmas to everyone!
