What is the best way to go about meeting other people from the Phillipines in Eastbourne? I know that a lot of nurses work at the local hospitals and so there must be places that people meet up.

Cant say for Eastbourne others im sure will know better.
The usuals are churchs and the other is shopping malls if such a thing exists in sunny eastbourne. Is there a Phill or asian food shop?
Another way is to go about meeting people, from wherever.
My Wife has met pinays though her work, though non pinay mates and even though members of my family. She meets a lot on buses, we found in our street and nearby over ten households have at least one phill in the house. She even found the keys to one pinoy (we presume 2nd gen) who is a nearby neighbour.
She has some good pinay friends but far more friends of other backgrounds. Some who understand how tough it is being away from your family.
Also be prepared for not all phills wanting to be your friend, they maybe tired, shy, not in the mood, or just plain rude.
But whatever dont let it get you down.
My Wife has links to the local phill community but has never really gone to many do's she prefers China white (by chance quite a few phills work there she says) to churchs do's but that by no means she disrespects the community just she is a young person in the UK
