Hmmn! You can cope, as many do but i must be honest with you. Riyadh is about as strict as they come in Saudi. My experience tells me that in general Saudis do not respect anyone as much as they do their own. Unfortunately, of the rest that follow Filipinos are among the worst treated.

Some of the things I heard said about filipina women in Saudi was highly offensive and I had to advise them that I was about to marry one. The comment then was 'well, if that's your choice'. The implication was that 'sure, go ahead and sleep with one but why marry her?'.


I dont want to say too much as i dont want to scare you but i'm sure your husband will tell you all you need to know and how to be safe out there.

I have a clipping from a newspaper article to do with filipina maids, I read out there. I had to bring it to show people as it is unbelievable.

Good luck amiga and i'm sure you will be ok if you take heed of the advice given to you out there. Oh and by the way, it can get super hot out there.

i use to work with 2 Libyan brothers, and they told me Filipinos were maids or given the worse jobs to do, and treated like , now you must think why your husband is being paid so much to go there , i suppose you have to balance what you get paid with the quality,freedom( especially for women) and the life style you have compared with here and there
