No you don't need, what for ? it was automatically the LCR (local civil registrar )will forward to NSO (national statistics office)![]()
Hi Apo,do you mean going to the British Consul in Cebu to change your Certificate Of No Impediment To Marriage?
If so,yes you must do that,or go to the Embassy in Manilla.
I think that Aposhark is talking about registering his marriage with the British authorities, via the consulate in Cebu.
Just don't confused Mike, just bring all the necessary documents when u fly here in PI so you can lodge your application in soonest time

Hi everyone
I know that a married expat can go to the immigration to fill out forms so that he/she will not have any problems with overstaying a tourist visa.
Two different people have told my wife that we need to get our marriage registered in the Phils.
I am not sure what this will do.
A Filipina lady in the UK told me about this also and that it was PHP 4,000
Can anyone shed any light on this?
That was automatically registered mike, Sconnie was married in the PI, helloooooooo (echooo) pls enlighten Mike about this confusing registration
But i am already told you,it was automatically registered from LCR to NSO
OR if you get married in the UK,then u have to registered it in PI
Hello Aposhark...like you and your wife...me and my husband got married here in the Philippines also. No need for you and your wife to register your marriage in Cebu...as it is already been authenticated by the NSO ( National Statistics Office) thats what the embassy needed when you apply for visa. With regards to immigration even though your both married already if you havent filed for a permanent residence visa (here in Philippines) or you and your wife havent been out of the country and then back here (sort of Balikbayan) you will still need to pay the fee if you over stay the 21 days period.
I think others can share more.![]()
Thanks acs![]()
A tourist visa will allow you to stay for up to 59 days. A non-visa national (that includes Brits) can visit for up to 21 days without a visa. In either case, the length of your stay can be extended, two months at a time, for up to two years, by visiting BI, completing the forms and paying the fees (3,020 pesos for the initial extension).
The only problem with this is that, officially, you're supposed to have your return flight booked when you arrive. I understand that Manila immigration do normally check this, but in my four arrivals this has never been asked for at Davao.
