as long as he can support you with out you needing public funds or he doesn't claim any benefits classed as public funds for you, or you don't claim any benefits classed as public funds, or he doesn't receive more of a benefit because you are with him, then you shouldn't have a problem. he can claim any benefit he is entitled to, but you cannot, some benefits like tax creds, he could still claim and both of your details would have to be filled in, but only he should claim it.

Your finances

finances available to you and to any person supporting you should cover at least the last 3 months
how long as he worked for the company ? if i think its more than 2yrs he should get redundancy pay.
do you have savings?
well ideally you want 3 payslips at least by sept, so hes got til end of may to find a job, its a long time to find a job, even any job just to bring some money into his bank account.
it is possible to still get ILR while hes on benefits, but you want to reduce your risks.
i've had this happen to me, but luckily the company i worked which went bust ,started a new company, and i had to apply for ilr for the misses, and i didn't even bother to tell them about the company going bust, because the pay slips looked the same
don't worry too much, you've done the hard work getting a settlement visa, so if he can find a job by then it will reduce the risk of refusal.
