    Smile Digital Photo Prints

    Folks,

I'm not affiliated with this company, but just want to comment that I'm very impressed with their service. So far, I've used them 3 times and they have delivered photos within 3 days even to remote parts of Mindanao.

Their photobook option seems to be the best product for me and so much cheaper than trying to send them from the UK. My last order of a photobook with 40 pages (5R) cost me about ~£12 in total including delivery. The quality seems to be pretty good too.

    http://www.digiprint.com.ph/

The downside would be their web interface which could be more user friendly with addtional options to customise.

    What do you use?

Yes, i've used bonusprint for local delivery. They are *probably* the best for quality and have superb features for uploading, editing etc. But does come at a much higher price which is arguably reasonable considering the services they offer.

But never tried them for overseas delivery. If its going via royalmail to Philippines, then we are looking at weeks!, not days. Have you tried delivery to the Philppines?

    Cheers

Is it cheaper to get prints done through a website like that then? I thought it was cheaper to get them done in store..just walk in there with your memory stick..no?

Its likely cheaper online, but there are several factors to consider like quality, quantity and location.

Also easier if the person recieving the photos is either not techy or of course you wish to surprise them.

What better than some nice photos far better when split apart than flowers surely male or female?
Oh lord why did you make so many clothes and shoe shops

We print our photos out either on my HP3800 (similar quality, I guess, to the one Joe uses at work), or on the Sony dye-sublimation photo printer I gave to Ruby for Christmas.

Ate Ping has several photos of our wedding, printed on the HP onto light card.

From benb link it's just almost the same price for local prints here and the additional charges is very reasonable cost. Although it's cheaper when bringing the memory card/flash disk/cd (wherever you saved photos) but depends on people who knows quality prints and it depend also to them if they have time to bring it in a developing centre some relative/friends won't coz after viewing in the PC they don't have time to print it or forget it

nice printer, i know it well
just be careful you open the front cover all the way down b4 trying to take the cartridges out, they have plastic clips that hold the cartridge in place, break them and its probably done its last print , i've seen a few news ones broken

thou the 5500/5550 is a a3 printer, fairly cheap now btw £300-£700, retailed at £2,500+ 4 or 5 yrs ago

Ah yes, I see the ones you mean ... thanks for the warning. Mind you, with the weight of the cover and the attached transfer belt mechanism, I would find it difficult to only open it part way ... unless there is something obstructing the cover.
